AP Score Calculators and Study Guides

Enter your practice exam results and see how they add up. Every calculator uses College Board's current section weights, split evenly where it gives only a total for free response. Where we found a public College Board conversion chart for the course, it also estimates your 1 to 5 score. Each exam also has a unit-by-unit study guide built from College Board's course framework. Every page shows its sources.

AP score calculator FAQ

How do AP score calculators work?

Each AP exam section counts for a fixed share of your score. A calculator weights your raw scores by those shares, adds them into a composite, and compares the composite with a set of cut points to estimate your 1 to 5 score.

Are AP score calculators accurate?

They are estimates. College Board publishes the section weights but not the cut points for current exams, and it sets new cut points every year. Where we found a public College Board conversion chart for a course, these calculators use it, so treat the 1 to 5 result as a guide.

Why do some calculators show a percentage instead of a 1 to 5 score?

A 1 to 5 estimate needs cut points. We found public College Board conversion charts for only a few current courses, such as AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics and AP Psychology. For AP US History, AP English Language and AP Chemistry we have not found one, so those calculators show the share of the weighted points you earned, next to how students scored last year, instead of guessing.
