You can now change the LLM model from the sidebar. This should allow you to quickly compare and contrast the responses you get from different models.

You can now get answers from the internet in Heuristica. The feature is currently available behind the custom button. Every answer from an internet search is provided with references.

I had some users having issues with locating the Save and Save As buttons so moved them out of the right-hand side panel to the left-hand side panel. That seemed like a more sensible location for operations that affect the whole canvas.

The Multi-Select Panel now allows running custom prompts on multiple (or even all) nodes. You can add the operation results to the map or save it in your library.

Previously, you couldn’t add newly generated flashcards to existing flashcard decks. This is now updated.

Llama 3 and Mixtral models are now available to choose from the settings modal.

A new panel now pops up whenever you choose more than one node/card. This panel allows you to create summaries, essays, flashcards, etc. from the selected items. These same operations can also be done via the Overview menu.

Quick Suggestions is a panel that provides information about the selected node without you having to press buttons. You can now customize what kind of quick suggestions you want to get in this panel.

Previously, the links function in Heuristica used the AI/LLM to generate links. However, these links were often too generic, irrelevant, or straight-up hallucinations. Now, a search engine integration allows you to bring in links from real search results.

The URL summarization service has also been updated, and I removed the old, token-based system. That system was reliable in summarizing websites but was limited with the token availability.

You can now generate summaries and key takeaways from these links without being limited by tokens. However, not every website will support this new way of summarization (e.g., if it has a paywall).

You can now search for a concept inside podcasts. If they have a transcription available, you could also summarize and get key takeaways from these podcasts.
